Inagural Post

Welcome. This place already feels like a haven from society, administration, and cold censorship. There is no one watching over my shoulder for content tagged as “inappropriate” … not that there was ever anything worthy of that categorization anyway. It still feels good though : )

Right now I am exploring the depths of this program they call “wordpress” so it will be a short while before I actually post my brilliantly addictive panderings* on our culture and its people. Until then, enjoy the the high prettiness of everything.

*pan·der·ing
Function: noun
1 : the act or crime of recruiting prostitutes or of arranging a situation for another to practice prostitution —compare PIMP
2 : the act or crime of selling or distributing visual or print media (as magazines) designed to appeal to the recipient’s sexual interest

…and this is why you check the definition of a word BEFORE posting.

About [insert witty title]

Although the Collin Derrick Band calls South Carolina home, there is nothing southern about their rock. With influences including Ben Folds, Muse and Radiohead, they combine unorthodox song writing with heavy piano rock and melodic guitar hooks. Playing venues like New Brookland Tavern (Columbia, SC), Tasty World (Athens, GA) and several upstate South Carolina stages, their energetic presence engages the audience, making their shows a true musical experience.
