My wife left for Europe today and will be gone for 45 days. As a method of keeping track of how long she is gone I have decided to shave and take a picture of myself each day until she comes home. Some of you will be quick to say that this is a stupid idea. Don’t worry - you’re right. But cut me some slack, married people without their spouse are infinitely more pathetic than single people ever are.
Here is your first picture. I shaved this morning so this represents approximately 16 hours of growth.

You should come out and visit us. We have No Plans for this entire summer. And Emily genuinely misses you. She mentions your name (Collin, not Tony) every time I talk about Bibi and Papa Joe. Fo’ shizzle.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am stocking up on movies to help pass the time. I would love to come see you guys but gas prices make the trip pretty prohibitive : ( I really appreciate the invitation though.

I think I finally solved the lag issue with Rock Band, after messing with it for nearly 3 hours. The problem is that if you fix the lag, you screw up the fills. You can’t have it both ways. So now the game plays great, but when you do the fills they are all off. Oh well.
I didn’t shave once while I was in Panama, and people told me I looked like Jesus. That’s the real test of beard-growing, resembling the Son of God.

And in comparison, my beard growing aspirations are more humble and less blasphemous.
